Your buildings fire alarm system is your first line of defense in notifying your occupants of a potential fire. The proper maintenance and inspection of your fire alarm system is critical to the life safety of your buildings occupants. A maintenance and inspection program can help eliminate unexpected costs and repairs due to false alarms. Testing your fire alarm system on a regular basis keeps you in compliance with the requirements set forth by the local authority having jurisdiction, your insurance company, and NFPA 72 standards .
At Shaw Fire Protection Services, our comprehensive testing program consists of the testing of all initiating devices (smoke detectors, manual pull stations, and thermal heat detectors etc…) incorporated into your system. We also test all notification devices (bells, horns, strobes and speakers) to insure their proper placement and operation. All system control equipment is thoroughly tested including the main control panel, sub panels and remote power supplies.
After our thorough inspection is complete, our technicians will complete a report detailing what type of inspection was completed and any corrective actions that may be necessary for compliance. This report will be posted on site and transferred electronically to you if requested. All testing will be done under the direct supervision of a state licensed and NICET certified technician, further insuring that your fire alarm system has been inspected properly in accordance with manufacturers and NFPA 72 standards.
